Aviyaan CORS — Terms & Conditions
Effective date: October 30, 2025
1. Introduction & Scope
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Aviyaan Continuously Operating Reference Station network and NTRIP caster (the "Service" or "Aviyaan CORS"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not access or use the Service.
2. Definitions
- Realtime Data: GNSS corrections and streamed products delivered by the NTRIP caster or via any real-time API.
- Archival Data: Non-streamed historical data, downloads, and logs.
- User: Any person or entity accessing the Service.
- Authorized Application: A real-time client application that is registered with and explicitly authorized by Aviyaan.
3. Authorization & Permitted Use
- Access to real-time data from Aviyaan CORS is restricted to applications developed by Aviyaan only, unless Aviyaan provides prior written authorization to additional parties. Use of real-time streams by any other application or organization is expressly prohibited without such written authorization.
- Requests for authorization for additional applications or organizations must be submitted in writing to Aviyaan (see section 11). Aviyaan may grant, deny, or condition authorization at its sole discretion.
- Archival Data may be available subject to different access rules; archival access does not imply authorization for real-time access.
4. Credentials and Authentication
- Users must use the credentials issued by Aviyaan (username/password, caster credentials, or API key) during registration when connecting to the NTRIP caster or real-time API.
- Credentials are non-transferable and must be kept secure. Sharing credentials with third parties is prohibited unless expressly allowed by Aviyaan in writing.
5. Automated Temporary IP Bans & Abuse Prevention
To protect the Service and enforce the authorization rules above, Aviyaan employs automated protective measures including temporary IP bans. The default enforcement policy is described below:
- If an IP address attempts repeated unauthorized authentication (for example, invalid credentials or authorized credentials used by non-authorized applications) Aviyaan may automatically block that IP address temporarily.
- Typical temporary bans last a minimum of 6 hours. Aviyaan may increase ban duration, escalate to permanent suspension, or take other remedial actions when repeat or severe misuse is detected.
- Aviyaan logs events that trigger bans (timestamp, IP, attempted credentials and NTRIP mountpoint). Users may use the appeals procedure in section 11 to request review and removal of a ban.
6. Attribution Requirement
If you use, display, reproduce, redistribute, or derive any product, map, dataset, report, service or other output that incorporates data (real-time or archival) from the Aviyaan CORS Service in whole or in part, you must include clear attribution to Aviyaan. The required attribution text is:
"Data provided by Aviyaan CORS Service."
The manner and prominence of attribution should be reasonable and appropriate to the medium (e.g., visible on a map legend, in a publication’s acknowledgements, or in product documentation).
If you wish to use a different form of attribution or include Aviyaan branding, you must obtain prior written permission from Aviyaan.
7. Prohibited Uses
- Any use of real-time data by applications other than those developed by Aviyaan without explicit written authorization.
- Attempting to circumvent authentication, rate limits, IP bans, or other protective measures.
- Reselling, redistributing, or providing third-party access to real-time streams except as expressly permitted in writing by Aviyaan.
- Using the Service for unlawful, harmful, or malicious purposes.
8. Monitoring, Logging & Privacy
Aviyaan monitors use of the Service to enforce these Terms, improve performance and security, and comply with legal obligations. Aviyaan may collect connection metadata (including IP addresses, timestamps, and credentials used) and usage logs. Aviyaan’s collection and processing of personal data is governed by its Privacy Policy, which supplements these Terms.
9. Warranty Disclaimer
The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. Aviyaan does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
10. Changes to These Terms
Aviyaan may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after posting of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.
11. Appeals, Authorizations & Contact
